I booked a sports massage, bought a shit load of Epsom salts, and spent the next couple of days recovering as hard as possible. My therapist confirmed a tear in my calf, and gave me a very slim chance of running in less than 2 weeks’ time. Side note – we’ll, ‘slim chance’ is what I chose to hear… I believe he actually said ‘I don’t advise you to run’.
Running the Seville marathon in 2 weeks and I’m currently restricted to the bike… this’ll be interesting!
I’d done it! 2:58:39. How had I gone from not being able to walk at 39km, to completing the final KM in under 4 minutes? Adrenaline. Adrenaline, and the crowds.
